Gonzalo co-leads the Blue Nature Alliance’s communications efforts. He has vast experience as a journalist and communicator in national and international NGOs. Before joining the Blue Nature Alliance, Gonzalo was a strategic communications consultant for large international organizations, such as the International Trade Union Confederation (ITUC), the largest global trade union federation. Previously, Gonzalo worked in the U.S. labor movement for over a decade, leading advocacy campaigns and global external relations. He holds a B.A. in Economics and Political Science from Ramapo College of New Jersey and an M.A. in Journalism from the University of Miami in Coral Gables, Florida. Gonzalo, a licensed airplane pilot and certified computer technician, enjoys traveling, cooking, and spending time in his backyard.
