Grace is the Alliance’s Regional Lead for United States and High Seas engagements. She is a marine conservation practitioner with over a decade of experience working with communities, governments, and civil society to advance ocean conservation efforts at various scales. Grace began her career in marine conservation as a US Peace Corps Volunteer working with fisherfolk to manage small scale MPAs in the Philippines. Before joining the Blue Nature Alliance in 2019, she worked to advance ocean protection in areas beyond national jurisdiction as part of Pew’s team focused on the development of the United Nation’s new High Seas Treaty. She holds an undergraduate degree in environmental-marine science from Colby College and a Master of Environmental Management degree from Yale University. In her free time, Grace enjoys kayak camping, gardening, and hiking with her dog, Moose.
