Joanie is the Communications Lead for the Blue Nature Alliance. She brings a wealth of experience that includes donor communications, campaigns, coalition-building, and community-led and Indigenous projects. Before joining the Alliance, Joanie managed communications for clean energy access and climate programs at CLASP and served as a Campaign Director with Green Corps, where she managed several field campaigns across the United States. She holds a B.S. in Biology with honors from Vanderbilt University and a Master of Public Administration in Environmental Science and Policy from Columbia University’s School of International and Public Affairs. When not working, Joanie enjoys traveling, watching movies, and playing with her dogs.
